COURTHOUSES
United States Federal Courthouse
Las Vegas, NV
A joint venture provided construction management services for the new 407,000 square foot Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The facility is an eight-story building that house 10 courtrooms and judges' chambers, court-related agencies and court support facilities in approximately 244,000 square feet of space. Spaces designed for federal executive agencies at the initial occupancy are designated for renovation for future court use. The new building provides one level of subterranean parking with 91 spaces and surface parking with approximately 200 spaces. The project site consisted of a surveillance and access control/alarm monitoring integrated security system that supported over 300 pan-tilt-zoom and fixed cameras controlled and monitored by the United States Marshall Service (USMS), and the Federal Protection Service (FPS) that share video scenes. The access control/alarm monitoring portion of the system has over 300 card readers, and approximately 1000 alarm points placed in a graphic manner for operator control and viewing.

United States Federal CourthouseSanta Ana, CA
This courthouse located in Santa Ana, CA is situated on a 3.9-acre site that straddles two distinct urban areas: the old downtown, which features early 1900s low-rise retail buildings and a civic center complex, built in the 1960s. The structure houses 10 stories of general offices, library, and courtrooms. The project consisted of a surveillance system comprised of approximately 200 cameras and two switching systems for the United States Marshall Service (USMS), and the Federal Protection Service (FPS) that share video scenes. The security system construction consists of a fully enclosed raceway system. The scope of work involved the oversight of Construction Administration to include the response to request for information (RFI), and the recommendations for assistance as directed by the Design Architect. Communications between the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Design Team required investigations as required facilitating final build out.
